  • 2012

    Ebony Bates launches a career in real estate with Avery-Hess Realtors in Tysons Corner, Va.
  • 2017

    Seeking to build upon a growing base of customers in the District of Columbia, Bates makes the move to BHHS PenFed Realty on Capitol Hill.
  • 2018

    The Bates International Group is born.
  • 2019

    The Bates International Group sojourns to Africa with Door of Our’s first delegation, visiting Ghana, Senegal and South Africa.
  • 2020

    The BIG team rings in a Year of Reflection spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • 2021

    The Bates International Group projects a return trip to Africa in December.

Muhammad Abdur-Rashid

Muhammad Abdur-Rashid is a real estate professional with nearly two decades of experience in the private, non-profit, government and public sectors. His background includes director and leadership level positions with national non-profits, Fortune 500 investment banking firms, two internationally renowned universities, as well as two federal agencies.

Muhammad brings his wealth of knowledge and experience in marketing, organizational management, resource development, finance and research to the real estate market, for the benefit of The Bates International Group’s clients. Muhammad holds a BS in International Marketing, an MPA in International Development and Public Administration and a PhD in International Relations and Public Administration, in addition to a CIPS designation from the National Association of Realtors. When it comes to real estate, his philosophy is simple: ‘When you win, we win.”

Albert ‘Marty’ Martin

Albert Martin is a REALTOR in Washington D.C. who works collaboratively with sellers and home buyers to understand their needs and assist them in achieving their Real Estate goals. His knowledge and experience in marketing and advertising are key attributes he leans on to support client goals.

Albert has served in the public and private sectors during his professional career. His public sector roles include Recruitment Branch Chief, and Program Specialist for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). In these roles Albert was responsible for establishing the “Careers” brand for the agency, as well as, creating and executing nation-wide recruitment plans to further FEMA’s effort to build a robust workforce to support survivors of all-hazard disasters. Additionally, he has served as an Account Executive and Assistant Promotions Director for 96.3 WHUR-FM in the Nation’s Capital. In these roles, Albert created advertising and promotional campaigns for local and national companies to increase their brand awareness in the D.C. market.

As a member of The Bates International Group, Albert uses his professional knowledge to assist the company in achieving its goal of establishing an international network to support the investment needs of clients.
